Crist Sticks In The Shiv.

Early voting hours expanded in Florida.
What’s the catch, they ask? Why would the Republican governor of Florida do this when early voters so far are for Obama 60-40? This is the state of the 2000 election and hanging chads and Katherine Harris. This can’t possibly be good for Democrats, right?
Wrong. It’s possible he thinks this [...]

You can’t suspend the Presidency.

What’s McCain going to do? Take a time out and let Field Marshall Plain run the country?

Sun Times on St. McCain’s Adultery

Sun Times:
Suppose Barack Obama had dumped a crippled wife and married a beer heiress one month after the divorce.
Do you really think he wouldn’t have been tripped up by such a scandalous past?
The Republicans would have had a field day mocking his character.
But John McCain’s tawdry personal history is rarely mentioned.
Indeed. Where is the commercial [...]

Laissez-faire, rinse repeat.

Americans believe that the arc of history points towards better times. Built into that belief is a seemingly contradictory pride in learning from the past and a conceit that things were less advanced or less intelligent in the past.

Cindy McCain: Dope Fiend

McCain used his maverick powers to block a DEA investigation into wife’s charity.  No wonder he called her a cunt.  None of this matters, though, because John McCain loves women and hates sexism. Sometimes.

Field Marshall Palin has never issued an order to national guard

McClatchy.
But according to St. McCain this makes her more qualified than Obama who’s never “been south of the border.”
Is the media going to call bullshit on this, or let the Republicans say anything they want as usual?

Palin on McCain’s “Pork List”

I told Cindy to watch out.
No, seriously.  He had criticized her for pork-barrel stuff.  But, I guess they’re cool now. Or something.

Bush Patsy McCain, Anachronism

“[Bush Patsy McCain] said, ruefully, that he had not mastered how to use the Internet and relied on his wife and aides… and press secretary… to get him online to read newspapers and politcal websites and blogs.
“‘They go on for me,’ he said. ‘I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that [...]

Correct Strategy on Funding

Bill Scher has it.
Contrary to McCain’s suggestion, setting the timetable will increase odds of success since so much of the insurgency is based on resisting permanent occupation.
Plus, McCain’s “second year Westpoint” student comment about setting withdrawal dates… I wonder what other by the book suggestions Westpoint students would have about this fucked up war!
